Manali Patel

Hello!

Manali is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Simmons University based in Boston, Massachusetts while currently residing in Charlotte, North Carolina.  

She received her Bachelor’s in Biology from UNC Charlotte. She has spent several years in the health care field, while continuing to advance her field of study in mental health care. She uses her biology background to further specialize in mental health through the study of nervous system regulation, somatic theories, and the body-mind connection. Her approach is rooted in trauma-informed and socio-cultural theories, allowing her to provide support for individuals from diverse backgrounds. Her approach is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Her clinical interests are centered on women’s health, life transitions, and trauma work, guiding clients through their unique healing journey. Her professional goal is to become a mental health therapist specializing in individual therapy, with a dedicated focus on advocating for women on a personal and social policy level helping them cultivate independence.

In her free time, she enjoys meditation, yoga and painting.
