Licensed Psychotherapist
Hello!
Zachary Harris grew up in Charlotte and understands how quietly overwhelming life transitions can be when your brain processes the world a little differently. As someone who is neurodivergent himself, he knows firsthand how often people with ADHD are misunderstood or dismissed and how powerful it can be when someone finally sits across from you and simply gets it.
Today, Zachary is a psychotherapist who works with teenagers and adults navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, oppositional behaviors, and neuropsychiatric conditions such as ADHD and OCD. In the therapy room, his focus is simple but intentional: create a space where people can show up without judgment, especially those who may be entering therapy for the first time or returning after difficult past experiences with care. His work draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while weaving in solution-focused techniques, allowing clients to better understand their thought patterns, identify strengths they may have overlooked, and build practical tools for everyday life.
Colleagues often describe Zachary as someone who meets people exactly where they are. Rather than positioning himself as the expert on someone else's life, he approaches therapy as a collaboration, two people working together to make sense of what hurts, what helps, and what might move things forward. That approach tends to resonate deeply with clients who have spent years feeling misunderstood, particularly those navigating the complexities of ADHD and other neurodivergent experiences.
At Healing Pathways, Zachary works with adolescents and adults who are trying to manage the emotional weight of change, whether that means adjusting to new diagnoses, managing relationships and responsibilities, or simply learning how to move through the world with more clarity and self-trust. His work centers on helping people recognize their own capacity for growth while developing practical strategies that make daily life more manageable.
For Zachary, therapy is not about fixing people. It’s about creating a space where someone can slow down long enough to understand themselves and begin to believe that change is possible.
